Description
The Pigtronix Octava Micro Octave Fuzz Pedal is an all analogue frequency doubler with a low pass filter control that allows you to achieve singing octave up tones anywhere on the neck without adjusting your guitar’s tone control.
Playing stable intervals such as octaves, 4ths and power chords result in a gnarly grind, while other intervals create ring modulator textures in all registers. The drive knob controls a gain stage on the front end of the pedal and allows you to tailor the texture of the octave sound to suit any set of pickups. The octave up is wired in series before the fuzz circuit which is activated by a push button switch, allowing this micro pedal to produce a devastating full wave rectified distortion. The entire drive, octave and fuzz effect can then be mixed with the original clean signal using the Blend control knob to taste. The low pass filter knob removes high frequency content from the signal that feeds the octave up circuit, turning the knob counter clockwise has the same effect as turning the tone control down on a guitar making the octave effect even more pronounced in the upper registers of the instrument.
