The Gotoh C-A-R-D 3/3 Inserts Set are designed for their SD90 Tuners and are installed directly on to the back of the tuner before mounting on to the headstock. The CARD sits into the small recess found on the back of Kluson style stamped tuners like the SD90 but is 0.05 mm thicker than the recess meaning it is the CARD that rests against the back of the headstock and not the lip of the tuner, this stops the back of the tuner leaving an impression in the lacquer from over tightening the mounting screws which is often seen with Kluson style tuners. The CARD also features a collar to support the base of the tuner post and align it in the centre of the string post hole in the headstock and correctly through the bushing on the front of the headstock. The CARD is made from carbon fibre which is very lightweight, hard and resonant and so won't add any unnecessary weight to your headstock or affect the tone (the whole set weighs 4 g or 0.14 oz). These are designed only for Gotoh SD90 3 x 3 Kluson style tuners, they are not guaranteed to fit other tuners.
