Description
The Hipshot HE6Y Xtender allows you to instantly drop the tuning of your bass' low string and back again with the flip of a lever. The HE6Y is a direct replacement for Hipshot 3/8" post Ultralite bass tuners.
The lever can drop a major 2nd (E down to D) and if your strings have standard thickness cores you can go as low as a 4th (E down to B). The tuner itself is from their premium quality Ultralite range, designed to eliminate neck dive in unbalanced instruments and reduce the overall weight on your shoulders. Machined from solid aircraft grade aluminium to give a housing that is extremely light and highly durable. The open back design and small tuner footprint further reduces the weight and the 1:20 gear ratio tunes up quickly and accurately. The 3/8" diameter version fits basses with a headstock post hole size of 14 mm (9/16").
