This set of 6 in line Gotoh SDS510 Magnum Locking Tuners are in the traditional Kluson/Gibson style design used on vintage Fender guitars but made with Gotoh's modern technology and high quality manufacturing from their flagship 510 range.

To preserve the vintage look of the tuners we opted for Gotoh's Magnum Locking system without the thumbscrew operation, instead these use locking caps on the tuner posts, simply thread the string through the tuner post hole and begin winding, the locking cap will automatically engage at the correct tension locking the string in place, you can then bring the string up to tension as normal (to release simply detune the string until the cap releases, or if the string is broken insert a coin in the locking cap slot and release it from the string).

Featuring an upgraded 1:15 tuner ratio for more precise tuning accuracy over the vintage tuners with their 'Rock-Solid' string post which improves the tuning stability of the tuner and stays strong during bending and tremolo use (special elastic parts eliminate any rattle in the post and transmission of string vibration to the instrument is maximised). The Gotoh SD510 MG tuners come with their C-A-R-D system, specially shaped carbon fibre inserts match the footprint of the tuner, sitting within the pressed metal base, they align the tuner in the headstock hole ensuring the tuner post and bushing line up perfectly, ensuring the post rotates and meshes with the tuner gear correctly. The C-A-R-D is also 0.05 mm thicker than the base of the tuner, protecting the headstock lacquer from being imprinted with the base of the tuners often seen with Kluson Deluxe style tuners. The tuners are permanently lubricated through Gotoh's 'Lubri-Plate' technology, a Teflon coating applied to both parts of the worm gear ensures smooth gear meshing, reduced backlash and increased durability. The press fit bushing fits a 11/32" hole (8.8 mm) in the headstock to secure the string post.
