This Switchcraft Endpin is a 1/4" mono jack socket commonly used on acoustic guitars, it provides a strap button for your guitar strap as well as an output jack for onboard electronics. The removeable strap button nut allows this endpin to be secured from the outside, just set the nut on the larger threaded part to the depth of the end block (so that just the smaller threaded end shows on the outside of the guitar when installed), the smaller hex nut can then be installed on the outside of the guitar (use a hex wrench/allen key or small screw driver through the two holes in the side of the smaller threaded section to hold it in place while tightening the exterior nut), the specially shaped strap button nut then threads on over the hex nut to hide the installation. The shortest solder terminal is the output/hot (tip of the jack plug) and the longest length solder terminal is ground.
