Description
The TonePros MSPRS PRS style Imperial Locking Tailpiece Posts and Bushings have a threaded cap that screws into the stud tightening down on to the top of the tailpiece or wraparound bridge and locking it to the post from above, this ensures the wraparound does not lean on the posts and provides a more solid connection with the guitar body, ensuring maximum sound transmission and sustain. The locking studs also keep the bridge in place during restringing so it cannot accidentally fall off, potentially becoming damaged or damaging the guitar top, the stud caps have a wide, slightly domed head in the PRS style. The imperial brass studs have the standard 5/16-24 thread used on Gibson USA and PRS Core guitars.

Fixes that lean.
Great for correcting annoying forward lean in PRS wraparound - providing your bushings are ok ... they should be in a US body. These studs take the "slop" out of the wraparound and also engage the bushing threads more soundly than the stock posts. The bottom stud flanges are 1 mm or so higher than PRS ones and you'll gain a tad higher action by dint of your bridge now being actually perpendicular, so you may have to screw the bottoms in a turn more. Careful: follow Tone Pro's pdf re fitting and only "cinch" the screw in tops: go nuts and they may sheer off! That said, installed correctly, and that annoying sitar effect on your E + B is now gone!
Just buying the right studs is cheaper + better than faffing about with a new bridge : besides, many replacement bridges will be set for a 12" radius - pointless if you have a US core PRS with a 10" radius. Your bridge will intonate fine with 11,10 or 9 gauge strings. Don't confuse metric with imperial and all will be well!
