The JHS Clover Preamp/Boost Pedal is their interpretation of the Boss FA-1 with additional features like an XLR output and full 3 band EQ for any electric, acoustic or bass player.

The Volume control allows you to set your volume at unity or as a boost to push your amp or dirt pedals and in addition to the full 3 band EQ there is a rotary EQ selector switch and a low cut switch. When the EQ rotary switch is set to Full EQ all three EQ controls are in operation giving you full control over the range of EQ available, in the No Mids setting it is an exact replica of the original FA-1 and removes the ability to control the mids, leaving them in a fixed setting and when in the No EQ mode all the EQ settings are removed and the Clover becomes a straight FET boost, perfect for pushing an amp. On the right side of the pedal there is a Low-Cut dip switch, this removes some of the lows if you feel your tone is too muddy and can help you cut through a mix.

In addition to the standard 1/4" input and output jacks the Clover has an XLR output designed for using as an acoustic or bass preamp, the outputs can be used individually or simultaneously to allow you to run parallel outputs to two destinations e.g. run the 1/4" mono out into your guitar amplifier and at the same time run the XLR output to the front of house mixing board or for use when tracking amp tones and the 'direct in' sound of your performance onto two separate tracks, there is also a ground lift if you experience some hum when using the XLR output.
