The Fender Pugilist Distortion Pedal features two separate distortion sounds with independent controls that can be blended together in parallel to get the best of both sounds or stacked on top of each other for extra gain.

The A side distortion engine has a lower gain and cleaner tone, the B side reaches into high gain territory when maxed out, each side has its own independent gain and tone knob and so when blended you get the benefit of clarity and articulation from the A side while being able to add in gain for power from the B side, or increase the gain on both sides for a richer more complex sound compared to a single sound distortion pedal. The blend knob goes from 100% A side to 100% B side with 50/50 at 12 o clock and there is a Blend/Series switch to go from these parallel distortion sounds to stacking the two sides together for extra gain. The Bass Boost switch increases tonal fatness by adding a healthy dose of extra bass and lower midrange energy.

The Fender Pugilist Distortion Pedal features LED lit knobs that make viewing the current settings very easy in a dark environment (switchable on/off), a magnetically latched battery door at the front of the pedal makes changing batteries super quick, no screwdriver required, and a low battery indicator LED on the front of the door lights up to show when the battery needs replacing.
