Description
This Seymour Duncan 25K Mini Audio Taper Guitar Potentiometer is for use with active electronics like their Blackouts pickups (as well as EMG and Fishman Fluence pickups).
These mini size pots are useful for fitting in smaller or cramped control cavities and they have a logarithmic audio taper which is commonly used for both volume and tone pots but is particularly important for volume pots as it helps the human ear hear the volume change more smoothly. These are metric spec potentiometers with coarse 18 spline knob mounting and a 9 mm threaded shaft, please note 9 mm is not a common thread size for guitar potentiometers, normally they are either 3/8" imperial (found on the CTS pots used in almost all American Fender, Gibson and PRS guitars) or 8 mm which is the most common size on guitars made in Japan and East Asia (Epiphone, Squier, Ibanez, Schecter, PRS SE etc.), if your guitar has 8 mm threaded pots currently you will likely need to enlarge the hole in the guitar body slightly to fit these. To use metric knobs that have a set screw simply line up the set screw with the split in the shaft and tighten the screw. Mounting hardware is included.
