Description
The Hosco Visor Compensated Slotted Bone Nut for Stratocaster Style Guitars improves the intonation of the lower frets using their patented shape. Fretting the lower frets can cause intonation problems as the string stretches from the nut down to the finger pressing it behind the fret, the Visor nut overhangs the fretboard is certain places, reducing the length of the string, and compensates for this problem (similar to intonating bridge saddles to compensate at the high frets but at the other end of the string). The bone nut is pre-slotted for quick and easy installation and fits a standard 43 mm American Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster nut slot, the nut has a 9.5" radius and the underside of the overhang is shaped to fit from 7.25" to 12" fretboards. Minor shaping adjustments may be needed when fitting the nut.

Worth a try.
This nut has a tight radius 7.5? Was not flat enough for 14"radius neck profile without a lot of filing etc, oh well never mind, everyday is a school day,, it will go into the odds and ends draw and may get used at some point in the future.
