This Bare Knuckle Pickups Old Guard Strat Set Prewired Fender Pickguard makes upgrading your pickups and electronics a complete breeze, the pickups, pots and switch come mounted to the scratchplate and the electronic components have been soldered together for quick and easy mounting, to install simply remove your old pickguard, solder the red hot and black circuit ground from the new kit to the existing output jack and solder on the black tremolo claw ground wire and that's it, mount the new guard and you're ready to rock.

This is a high quality upgrade kit made with all the best components, the pickups are a set of Bare Knuckle Boot Camp Old Guard Single Coils, the potentiometers are CTS that are custom made for BKP, the switch is Oak Grigsby, the capacitor is a 0.022 uF paper in oil made for them by Duelund Coherent Audio, the wiring is vintage Fender style cloth covered push back hookup wire, there is a vintage style pickguard shielding plate covering the back of the scratchplate (not just thin tape but a full vintage style plate) and everything is mounting on to an official Fender 3 ply scratchplate (modern 11 hole style). Scratchplate mounting screws are not included.

The Bare Knuckle Pickups Boot Camp Old Guard Single Coil Strat Set is hand wound in the UK, features flat profile Alnico II magnets with a reverse wound reverse polarity (RWRP) middle pickup for hum cancelling in positions 2 and 4 of a Stratocaster. Mainly aimed at classic blues, rock, country, pop and alternative tones, the pickups are in the low output range and produce an open, dynamic tone. The Bare Knuckle Boot Camp is a stripped back, no nonsense pickup range aimed at guitar players who just want to cut to the chase and have great tone.
