The Gotoh 510T-BS1 is a high quality tremolo from their flagship 510 range that has the post spacing of Fender American Standard Stratocaster tremolos and comfortable, shaped brass block saddles.

The tremolo has a 54 mm string spacing which gives a good balance between 52.5 mm Fender American/Mexican standard spacing (2 1/16") and 56.5 mm Fender vintage wide spacing (2 7/32"), so your fingers get a little more room than on a modern Stratocaster but you won't pull the high e string off the edge of the fretboard so easily like on a vintage strat. The bridge plate is made from extremely resilient chromium molybdenum steel finished with heat treatment to ensure strong and hardwearing knife edges. There are slots in the bridge plate that the height adjusting screws for the outer e string saddles fit in to, stopping sideways movement of the saddles. The pivot studs can be locked into their body bushings/anchors to give the most transmission of sound to the body. The 510T-BS1 features Gotoh's FST Tremolo Block which has specially shaped string slots at the top of the block and holds the ball ends in a position to stop the strings binding on the bridge plate as they travel to the saddles, reducing wear on the bridge and strings and helping the tremolo to return back in tune after use. This is a full bridge system and includes the pivot studs/posts and body bushings, tremolo arm, springs, spring claw and claw screws.
