Description
This Hosco Shinex Abrasive Pad is a Scotch-Brite style sanding sheet available in a full range of grits for numerous luthier and tech jobs. The thicker pad is more comfortable on the hand than thin paper sheets and the flexible nature is perfect for contoured surfaces, great for sanding guitar necks, body forearm contours and belly cuts ready for finishing or use finer grades on already finished gloss necks to give a satin finish for better playability. The sanding sheets don't clog, can be used with water and oil for wet sanding (nylon based material won't rust like steel wool) and have a perforation across the centre to cut them in half if required.

A Good Alternative to Sandpaper
This is a great alternative to sandpaper for 2nd stage sanding of wood (600 first and 1500 after this if required) in preparation for lacquer finishing. Also works well dry with minimum pressure, and wet with a little more pressure, as an in-between stage on lacquer coats to knock off dust spots before moving to finer grits. Washable and doesn't clog up in the same way as sandpaper. A quick slap against something knocks the dust out.
