This official Gibson Original Mini Humbucker Rhythm / Neck Pickup has an unmistakable Gibson tone that produces a bright and focused output while still retaining humbucker performance. Introduced in the late 1960s the mini humbucker was first made available in several Gibson made Epiphone modes and the Les Paul Deluxe in 1969, as a way to serve a growing demand of P-90 sized pickups with no hum. With its small size, narrow magnetic field and unique design combination, Gibson made a more compact humbucker to fit into the slot of a P-90. The Mini Humbucker is authentic in every detail, using a bar alnico 2 magnet, a cream coloured plastic mounting and coated enamel like wire, maple spacers and vintage two conductor braided lead wire, the pickup is fully wax potted to eliminate microphonic feedback.
