Description
This set of 6 in line right handed Gotoh SG381 locking tuners feature a 1:16 gear ratio for tuning up quickly and accurately. Gotoh's Magnum Locking system is operated by a traditional thumb screw on the back of the tuner for quick and easy string changes. The 6 in line sets have staggered string posts to provide the correct string tension over the nut and eliminate the need for string trees, improving tuning stability, the EAD strings have 20 mm tall posts and then the GBe strings have 18.5 mm posts. The 'Rock-Solid' string post improves the tuning stability of the tuner and stays strong during bending and tremolo use, special elastic parts eliminate any rattle in the post and transmission of string vibration to the instrument is maximised. The tuners are completely sealed and permanently lubricated through Gotoh's 'Lubri-Coat' technology, a coating applied to the worm gear to ensure better contact between the worm and spur gear wheel, backlash is minimised and durability is increased. These tuners have the screw attachment holes offset at a 45 degree angle to the tuner post, this set up is common on a lot of 6 in line headstock designs from Ibanez, Schecter, ESP/Ltd and Jackson.

Trusted
I've tried cheaper locking tuners that don't hold the 1st string so just spend more money and be confident.

Excellent upgrade
I put these on my reissue Burns Short Scale Jazz guitar as a replacement for the rather unresponsive Burns tuners. Pleased that I did because they feel so much better to use and they are locking which I have never used before so I appreciate the ease of stringing up and staying in tune. Gotoh have some useful videos on their website but the one thing that foxed me initially is that the tuner posts are so much shorter than normal tuner posts. At first I thought I had ordered the wrong length but eventually it dawned on me that locking tuners have to be much shorter, almost flush with the headstock, to keep the string break angle low. So, I am fine with that now but it would have been helpful if that had been mentioned in some instructions.

Solid Tuners
As per all Gotoh hardware these tuners are extremely well made. Quality of colorisation is impeccable (have both cosmo black and black versions). 3 tall and 3 short… tall ones are quite short, but as they are locking tuners, it’s not an issue :)

Great hardware!
Gotoh make the best guitar hardware in my humble opinion and this bridge set-up is not only solid but a beautiful color (cosmoblack). Very happy with this and extremely happy with how quickly Glued to Music ship items out… availability of items with this seller is impressive :) thank you!

Excellent quality, great tuners
Really good quality tuners, easy to fit, work brilliantly and the short posts look cool as well as helping with tuning stability.
Only thing to be aware of is that if your guitar has quite a thick headstock, then you might need the non-staggered posts version.
