Description
This Hosco Compact Stainless Steel Fret Crowning File has been specially developed with a hard chrome coating to increase the durability of the file when working with stainless steel frets.
Hosco fret crowning files are hugely popular across the world and this compact version makes working over the high frets very easy. The concave files add the crown back to the fret tops after they have been levelled for accurate notes when playing and these double sided crowning files have one coarse cutting edge (bigger triangle) to quickly remove material and shape the fret and one fine cutting edge (smaller triangle) to remove the scratches from the previous step and to let you carefully bring the crown to its final size without lowering the height from level. The file is available in two crowning sizes, the medium size has a 2 mm radius for shaping medium fretwire and the large size has a 3 mm radius for large/jumbo fretwire. The file has a silicone rubber grip to aid comfort on the hand while using and the file should only be used in one direction (the direction shown by the arrows).
