The Faber TP-59 Aluminium Tailpiece is a vintage spec design for anchoring the strings of your Tune-o-matic bridge equipped guitars. Made from lightweight aluminium like the original Gibsons, designed as an upgrade piece it comes as just the body, posts and studs are not included. The tailpiece will fit on to the existing posts of the vast majority of metric 'import' guitars (Epiphone, Schecter, ESP LTD etc) with 82 mm post spacing and also the vast majority of imperial USA made guitars with the standard 3 1/4 in post spacing (e.g. a Gibson Les Paul).
It can be strung the traditional way or alternatively the strings can be fed through the front side then wrapped over the back of the tailpiece before going to the bridge (often used when tightening the tailpiece all the way down against the guitar body).

well made, looks good lightweight
I fitted it to my Sire H7 to try and bring it closer to my Eastman T486. I has watched a video and this seemed to have allowed the tring vibrations to pass better to the bode and let it resonate more.
Quite expensive for what it is (I bought the new posts too - which needed work!).
Looks good, well made and a lot lighter. I weighed to parts!! The original tailpiece was 74g this one is only 27g so a massive weight reduction.
I "think" it helped but really hard to tell. I did a few other mods too (new Gibson Pickups and Monty's wiring loom/switches) so overall a much improved guitar and "almost" as good as my Eastman now.
I bought after it was demonstrated in a Guitaristas Youtube video as part of a series oin upgrading an Epiphone 335.
