The Wera Zyklop 8790 9 Piece Hex Socket Set comes on a locking storage belt to keep them organised and easy to reach at all times, to remove a socket just give it 1/8 of a turn and it unlocks from the belt, secure but still convenient.

The complete nine piece set includes a 5 mm, 5.5 mm, 6 mm, 7 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 11 mm, 12 mm and 13 mm hex sockets. They are made from chrome vanadium steel and have a specially shaped hexagonal profile that's slightly recessed in the corners to ensure the socket drives from the flats, this enables high power transmission and keeps the edges of the nuts and bolts from getting chewed up. The sockets also have a knurled edge around the drive end for grip when manually finger tightening without tools (also great for snugging up guitar parts). The sockets fit onto standard 1/4" square drive socket wrenches/ratchets (like the Wera Zyklop 8004 available from us a separate item) and spinner handles and as separate items we also have the Wera 870/1 1/4" Hexagon to 1/4" Square Drive Adaptor if you would like to use the socket with 1/4" hexagon drive bit holding screwdrivers like our Wera Kraftform Kompakt 812/1. The Zyklop 8790 sockets are colour coded and labelled with the size so you can quickly find the one you need.

When manually tightening (i.e. with no tool or adapter mounted in the square end) the 10 mm size will fit over most guitar tuner posts and the 11 mm size will fit over most metric potentiometers (the post/shaft fits through the socket into the square section). The 12 mm size is used on metric jack sockets (M9 / 9 mm thread nuts).
