This Bigsby Compensated Saddle is for their Archtop Guitar Bridge that is usually used on Gretsch solid and hollow body guitars. The saddle is cast from aluminium and polished (no plating) and the bottom is slightly rounded to allow it to rock back and forth on the posts with tremolo use and then come back to the centre and return the strings to the correct pitch. The saddle has starter notches in the top (these shallow string slots need to be filed out to match your desired string gauge) and for more accurate intonation the saddle is shaped with a compensation pattern for a plain G string. This is the saddle only and needs to be fitted to the Bigsby Archtop Guitar Bridge.
