The Bigsby Sorkin Bowtie Compensated Guitar Bridge is probably most famously used on John Lennon's 1958 Rickenbacker 325, the distinctively shaped baseplate gives it its name.
The bridge is cast from aluminium and polished (no plating) and has a compensated saddle for more accurate intonation (the compensation pattern is for a vintage style wound G string). The height of the saddle is adjusted via the thumbwheels and the saddle is unslotted, the bottom of the saddle is slightly rounded to allow it to rock back and forth on the posts with tremolo use and then come back to the centre and return the strings to the correct pitch.
