This official Gretsch CTS 500K Solid Shaft Potentiometer is used on most of their USA guitars and has a logarithmic audio taper used for volume pots so the human ear can hear the volume change more smoothly (Gretsch normally use audio taper for tone pots as well).

CTS potentiometers are renowned for their high quality and are widely used as controls for guitar electronics. Both the 3/8" imperial threaded shaft and knob mounting shaft are made from durable brass and it has a 1/4" (6.35 mm) solid shaft for mounting imperial sized knobs with set screws. Only a lock washer is included, there is no mounting nut included.
