This Hosco Bakelite Vintage Telecaster Style Scratchplate is in the original early '50s single ply, five hole mounting Telecaster style with a square edge and neck pickup route (no pickup height adjustment screw holes). Bakelite was used in the very early days of Fender guitars but was replaced in 1954 by the new white pickguard. The surface is not lacquered, scratchplate mounting screws are sold separately.
