This official Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Jaguar Pickup Set recreates the classic sound of Surf.

The mid ’60s Jaguar was an important part of the Surf sound for dozens of Southern California bands and it was heard on countless TV and film soundtracks. Seymour Duncan designed this pickup to recreate that classic sound for you without the need to buy or gig an original 1960s guitar. Their custom Antiquity ageing process adds a sweetness to this pickup’s top end tones, while retaining its bright, chimey focus, even if you are playing through a wash of reverb.

These pickups also feature an aged look, making them perfect for fitting to a vintage guitar. The period correct look also gives you a convincing aged aesthetic without the worry of vintage parts failing on your next gig. The Antiquity II Jaguar neck pickup is wound RWRP so that when used together with the bridge coil they will be hum cancelling, saving you the 60 cycle blues. This pickup is a drop in replacement for any Fender American Standard sized Jaguar pickup and will fit into the existing cover and claw. Hand built in their Custom Shop, it uses hand ground alnico five rod magnets, a custom coil wind with heavy formvar mag wire, vintage correct bottom grey flatwork, cloth push back lead wire, and they are all lacquered and wax potted like the originals to save you microphonic noise.
