The late 50s Jazzmaster pickups used wide, flat coils that produced a deep, rich tone that Fender initially hoped would appeal to Jazz players but it also became the go to instrument for so many of the instrumental bands of the 60s. It turned out, the Jazzmaster is a monster when turned up and played through a fuzz pedal. Combining a treble response that gives you snap and sparkle, but is not harsh, with a bass response that is nice and tight this set will help you craft beautiful music. The neck pickup is wound RWRP (reverse wound, reverse polarity) so that when used together with the bridge coil they will be hum cancelling, saving you the 60 cycle blues. Hand built in California, these pickups also feature an aged look, making them perfect for fitting to a vintage guitar. This pickup set is a drop in replacement for any Fender American Standard sized Jazzmaster pickup and will fit nicely into the existing covers. Hand built in their Custom Shop, the Antiquity vintage Jazzmaster single coil pickups use alnico two rod magnets, a custom coil wind with plain enamel mag wire, vintage correct flatwork, cloth push-back lead wire, and they are all lacquered and wax potted like the originals, to save you microphonic noise.
