This DiMarzio 500K Custom Audio Taper Guitar Pot/Potentiometer, unlike standard guitar pots, gives you full taper control and ultra smooth performance.

Most guitar pots only starting to deliver sound at about three on the dial and then never getting much louder above seven. This custom taper pot is made to solve that problem for you. It's logarithmic audio taper is normally used for volume pots so the human ear can hear the volume change more smoothly. The 500K Ohms resistance gives a brighter tone and is traditionally used for humbucking pickups. Engineered with a low friction wiper pass and proprietary balance damping lubricant, giving you consistently smooth turns. We also sell a Longer Shaft version of this separately (EP1201L), to be used with carved top guitars like Gibson Les Pauls, or just thicker guitars in general. The split shaft and bushings are made from machined brass, just like the vintage originals, with 24 teeth and a 32 thread turn, making it a perfect fit for USA knobs, including DiMarzio, Fender, and Gibson.

Rated to 10,000 cycles at 2,000 cycles per hour and individually tested by DiMarzio, giving you quality you can rely on. Two nuts, one dress washer, and a lock washer are all included, for easy installation. The pot casing is custom plated for easy soldering. These are direct replacements for the standard 3/8-inch (9.525 mm) holes found on most Fenders and Gibsons. Some enlargement may be required for non standard or metric hole diameters.
