Description
The CopperSound Pedals DIY Breadboards are specifically designed for prototyping guitar pedals and give you a convenient platform to quickly and easily develop your circuit.
The breadboards feature integrated input and output jacks for the audio signal, centre negative power jack, on/off bypass switch and status LED and there are onboard pin headers that allow you to easily connect the breadboard bus strips/rails to power and the terminal strips to the signal jacks. Each section of the breadboard has five rows of tie points (the holes where the component is inserted) either side of the IC DIP Chip channel labelled a-e and f-j and the connected columns are numbered. Sizes small to deluxe have a 'courtesy ground' which is a pad where you can place the negative tip of a multimeter and then use the positive tip to check the voltage at any point in the circuit. The deluxe size features stereo jacks and a TRS expression jack which each go to their own section of the breadboard for designing complex stereo reverb and delay pedals or you can connect a patch cable between the output of the right side into the input of the left side and to design pedals like dual overdrives, there is an independent bypass switch for each channel so you can check each side on its own but also stack them together. Each board has mounting holes in the corners for a convenient method of securing the board to a larger work surface.
We stock these in five sizes which had the following connections available:
- Mini: 400 tie points, 1 section of 300 terminal strip holes (split over 1 DIP IC channel), 100 power bus holes, mono
- Small: 830 tie points, 1 section of 630 terminal strip holes, 1 DIP IC channel, 200 power bus holes, mono
- Medium: 1,560 tie points, 2 sections of 630 terminal strip holes (split over 2 DIP IC channels), 1260 total terminal strip holes, 300 power bus holes, mono
- Large: 2,290 tie points, 3 sections of 630 terminal strip holes (split over 3 DIP IC channels), 1890 total terminal strip holes, 400 power bus holes, mono
- Deluxe: 2,290 tie points, 3 sections of 630 terminal strip holes (split over 3 DIP IC channels), 1890 total terminal strip holes, 400 power bus holes, stereo or split mono and TRS expression
