This Titebond II Dark Wood Glue is a dyed version of their Titebond II Wood Glue. It provides a strong initial tack and fast speed of set to reduce clamping time.

Developing a bond stronger than the wood itself, it sands well and is unaffected by finishes. This Dark glue can help you achieve professional looking results as the colour blends in well with small gaps, pores and mineral streaks in your wood grain, this is especially helpful when working with darker or time aged/tanned wood. We've selected this glue as it is ideal for wood, hardboard, particleboard, leather, cloth and most other porous materials, making it a versatile product to have at your disposal when you need a consistent look. It is easy to use, non-toxic and cleans up with water.

The glue can be applied via plastic bottles for fine applications and may also be spread with a roller, spreader or brush. It is also clampable and with enough pressure brings joints tightly together (generally, 100-150 psi for soft woods, 125-175 psi for medium woods and 175-250 psi for hardwoods). For clean up while setting, use a damp cloth while the glue is wet. Scrape off and sand any dried excess.

The glue is unaffected by finishes and passes ANSI Type II water resistance. You will also find that it is ideal for radio frequency gluing systems, so can be used to save you time as you work. Please note, due to its lower creep resistance, it can’t be used for guitar building (we sell Titebond Original Wood Glue in various sizes, which is the industry standard for guitar building). Since this glue is designed for both interior and exterior applications, it is excellent for use on guitar cases and touring gear.
