Hosco's mono barrel jack sockets mount flush with the guitar body edge for a clean look (used extensively by Ibanez in their RG guitars), no mounting plate required, for standard 1/4" guitar jack cables. The shortest solder terminal is ground (to the jack's sleeve), the middle length solder terminal is the output (to the jack's tip) and the longest length solder terminal is also ground (unused for mono wiring).
